Hello
After getting her Associate's Degree in 2007 in Culinary Arts, Rachel worked for about a decade in various small bakeries. Odd Bird Baking was born right around the time as Rachel's two sons, in Longmont, CO. After moving to Durango in 2019, Rachel started selling "Pajama Boxes" which were a dozen assorted freshly baked pastries to folks around Durango on Saturday mornings and people loved having bakery-quality pastries delivered to their doorsteps. Since then, Odd Bird has grown and is now truly a family business! We focus on originality and hope to bring some fresh ideas to old favorites. Our scratch-made pastries feature organic Colorado grown flour, produce and other ingredients from local farms and businesses whenever possible, organic rye and whole wheat flour from Mountain Mama in Monte Vista, ethically sourced vanilla extract and never any seed oils or artificial colors. We are proud vendors in the Durango Farmers Market and sell our baked goods in many stores and cafes in the Durango are and we are always looking to connect and collaborate with local small businesses!

We update our offerings frequently to call forth the best parts of each season - fresh, bright fruit in the summer; warm, comforting spices in the winter. We hope you'll love what we have to share!
